Spring Heels and Festival Fever

There are reasons aplenty to head for the fresh air of Sussex and enjoy a festive break this Spring! Start off this weekend by laughing your socks off in Bognor Regis as The Clowns are back in town! ? ...a splash of colour and some very silly fun for kids of all ages! You can follow this merriment with the Sussex Beer and Cider festival held in Hove with over 220 real ales, ciders, perries and bottled beers on show from 11th to 13th March. If that whets your appetite, stick around for the Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Festival, a celebration of the best food and drink to be found in the city and wider Sussex, with producers, restaurants, pubs and bars, retailers, markets and great events firmly at its heart, running from 15th to 21st March.



Theatre lovers can look forward to the Eastbourne Festival 2010, bringing together big names from the world of theatre, music, comedy and literature and loads of local talent. Over 125 visual artists also participate as part of the Festival Open Houses. The Festival runs from 3rd to 25th of April.



Those who enjoy the traditional will marvel at birds of prey in flight during the displays inside the lovely Bodiam Castle on the 17th and 18th April given by falconers from the 'The Hawking Centre' and the Tulip Festival at Pashley Manor, Wadhurst from 23rd April to 3rd May before warming to Hastings annual town celebration of "Jack in the Green" with various events around the town from 30th April to 3rd May. Finish off with a wide choice of quality fare to sample and buy from the local producers of the south east, plus tastings, cookery classes and demonstrations at Chichester Food and Farming Fair from 2nd to 3rd May.
